Recap 2001

The 2001 USVIMF was a weekend of entertainment held on the island of St.Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands Friday,June 21-Sunday,June 24, 2001. It featured national and local artists such as Sax man Nelson Rangell, Maysa and the Louis Taylor Quartet performing live at the Reichhold Center for the Arts. Other artists performing live at various venues on the island include P'your Passion, Rap artists Talib Kweli, Cappadonna of the Wu Tang Clan and more.

The U.S.V.I. Department of Tourism hosted radio announners from five radio stations. The festival was advertised on five radio stations including one satelitte station....WMMJ-FM 102.3, Washington DC, WPRW-FM, Augusta, Ga., WWIN-FM Magic 95.9, Baltimore, MD., WOLB-AM 1010, Baltimore,MD and World Space Satelitte, Washington DC.

The festival also included Beach parties, nightclub parties, boat racing and shoppping tours.
