Lorraine "Lolo" Milliner

Founder/CEO LifeStyle Festival, Inc.

From the numerous Radio One broadcast acquisitions surfaces another jewel, “The Quiet Fire,” hosted by Magic 95.9’s Lorraine "Lolo" Milliner. The lady is the preferred nighttime host of Baltimore’s adult radio listeners. In Baltimore, Md. the name “Lolo” is synonymous with winning. Her show has ranked No.1 for many years with adults ages 25-64. Lolo’s winning ways seem endless.

In 1981, Lolo started her radio career at Lucky 13 (WSTA) in her hometown of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. In just four months she became the midday announcer and was promoted to Music Director. While at WSTA, she moonlighted as the manager at Studio 54 (affiliated with New York’s Studio 54), the islands hottest nightclub. In 1985, she sought more opportunities and left the islands, moving stateside.

Orlando, Florida’s WOKB became her first stop in 1986, where she caught the attention of the legendary Jack “The Rapper” Gibson. Gibson took an interest in her and her career was off and running. WFXA (Foxie 103) in Augusta, GA, was the next stop in late 1986.

Lolo’s voice and music became a household treasure in Augusta, GA. Snowballing in popularity, she accepted the midday position at WDXZ-FM (Foxie 104) and moved to Charleston, S.C. in 1991. Soon thereafter, she became Music Director. Through the efforts of Ray Boyd, former Radio One VP of Programming she moved to Baltimore, Md. and landed her current position at WWIN-FM (Magic 95.9).

She recollects, “Thanksgiving Day, 1993, was my first day on the air at Radio One, Inc. the worlds largest African-American owned broadcast company. I really had something to be thankful for that day, and God continues to bless me each day.”

During her 22-year career, she has associated with many successful radio veterans, including Kathy “KB” Brown, Ray Boyd, Tom Joyner, Addie Ottley (Owner, Ottley Communications), Gregory Davis (President, Davis Broadcasting, Inc.) and Dr. Cathy Hughes, (Owner/CEO of Radio One, Inc.).

Lolo's media career also contains a background in television. She worked for the Virgin Islands Public Television System (WTJX Channel 12). Her duties include camera operator, floor manager, and switcher operator and on- air talent.

Beyond radio, Lolo is Founder/CEO of the LifeStyle Festival Inc, a company that hosts a festival that focus on health awareness, wealth empowerment and education combined with musical entertainment. The entertainment features Jazz, R&B, Caribbean and Gospel concerts in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
